THANKSGIVING
DINNER
Plus
Games & Music
Here's What's Happening:
The dinner will start serving
at 4:00 P.M. in the clubhouse.
EMERALD LAKE RESORT will provide
the Turkeys and most of the gravy.
Members & Visitors are
ask to provide "potluck" side dishes which should consist of
casseroles, cranberry, potatoes, vegetables, desserts and maybe
some afternoon snacks for the bar.
Daytime activities may include Petanque,
Horseshoes, Fishing, Pool, Foosball, Bean Bag Toss, Ping-Pong,
Darts, 42, Card games, etc. and for those who really feel
energetic, "Sit around in the spa all day". We might even get to
sunbathe on the beach (weather permitting)???
Cost for Day
and Dinner is as follows:
1) Turkey Dinner: Emerald Lake Resort
Members & Visitors = Free for those bringing a side dish. Non
participants will be ask to donate $5.00 to the entertainment
committee.
Applicable ground fees will apply for all
non-members.
If you are attending the dinner and/or plan to
bring a side dish, please e-mail or call us so we will have enough
of everything to go around. This is very important so please respond

FEW QUICK NOTES:
1. Come on out
and help us decorate the clubhouse and park for Santa on Saturday
Dec. 6th. Food will be provided for those who help decorate.
2. We will be having our
annual Chinese gift exchange Christmas party on Saturday, December
13th, which as you all know is lots of fun. More information to
follow.
3. There
will be a New Years Eve party on Dec. 31st.

IT'S TIME AGAIN TO LET LOOSE YOUR WILD IMAGINATIONS ???
On
Saturday, Oct. 25th, EMERALD LAKE RESORT WILL HAVE OUR ANNUAL
HALLOWEEN PARTY INCLUDING
COSTUME CONTEST,
PRIZES,
FOOD &
DANCE TO DJ MUSIC.
Here’s what's happening:
food:
Food will be put out just before the
dance starts and continue on through the evening. We will have a
variety of snacks, finger foods and bowls of popcorn and halloween
candy!
COSTUME CONTEST:
Costumes will be judged by individual ballot
voting and some nice prizes awarded to the winners.
PLEASE NOTE
NEW TIME FOR COSTUME CONTEST !
Costume contest runs from
8:00pm - 8:30pm, which will give everyone plenty of time to view the
costumes before voting. Super-Duper Prizes awarded for 1st & 2nd
place in couples and singles categories. DJ Dance starts at 8:30pm
DANCE & ENTERTAINMENT:
The DJ / Entertainment provided by Buddy & Diane will
start at 8:30 PM till Midnight???.
Cost
for Day and / or Party is as follows:
ELR Members: $10.00 per person for
party, costume contest, prizes, food and dance.
Daily ground
fees are $30.00 for non AANR members and $25.00 for AANR
members. This is in addition to the Contest and Dance
donations.
Other Notes:
1) Our annual
Thanksgiving Dinner with Potluck Sides will be held on Saturday,
November 15th. ELR will provide the Turkey. RSVP is necessary so
we know how much Turkey to supply. More information will follow.
2) Come on
out and help us decorate the clubhouse and park for Santa
on Sunday November 30.
3) Plan for
our great Chinese gift exchange Christmas party and dance on
Saturday, Dec. 13th. Details to follow.
4) Ring out
the Old and Ring in the New at our annual NEW YEARS EVE Party on

Presents Our 2008
weekend Events
Saturday, August 30th 2008 -
We will again have our "U-Cook-Um" steak dinner with all
the sides plus games and a dance. With the current food prices,
this event will be $15.00 per person.
The meal
will consist of a large Rib-Eye Steak cooked over a charcoal
fire with spice and sauces' available,
a large baked potato (approx. 1#)
plus plenty of condiments to cover it and
corn-on-the-cob.
You may wish to bring your own
special marinades to flavor your steak. Fires will be ready
to use at 4:00PM
If you are
planning to have the steak dinner you
MUST let us know by Aug. 28th via e-mail or phone
call in order to reserve your meal.
Daytime Activities:
Let's break-in our newly renovated Horseshoe Pits with some
serious games and while we're at it, see if we can chip off
some of the new paint on the Petanque Balls.
Another in the water Trivia contest will also be held so get
ready for a good Brain Workout.
Nighttime Stuff:
After all of this exercise and food
there will be plenty of time to rest up before
D.J.'s Buddy & Diane will provide us with music for your
dancing and listening pleasure starting at approx. 8:30 PM.
Sunday, August 31st
Chef "Barely Bill" will start serving Burgers, Hotdogs,
Fries, Chicken, Nachos, etc. from 11am - 5pm
We will have some great games / contest for your fun and
enjoyment with prizes awarded to winners.
Monday, September 1st
The Sunset Grill will be open from 11am - 3pm serving
Burgers, Hotdogs, Nachos, etc.
Just relax and enjoy the day off. Petanque & Horseshoes,
swimming, fishing or sunbathing etc. to end a perfect long
weekend.
RV and Tent sites are available for the weekend.

DUNKING MACHINE from the Porter Fire Dept. so
warm up your pitching arm, practice your aim and get ready to
dunk your "fearless leader" and other "volunteers" into a tank
full of nice (warm)??? water.
Night Time activities -
"All Holidays" DJ Dance and
"Holiday Accessories" Costume Contest.
Wear your favorite -nudist style - holiday
accessories (mix-um
up if
you want)
and the crowd will vote for the
best Guy & Gal accessory costume. Prizes awarded.
Dance to your favorite music by Buddy & Diane starting after
dark 30.
"Barely Bills" Sunset
Grill will be serving Burgers, Hot Dogs, etc. from 10am - 5pm
Saturday & 10am - 3pm Sunday.

Buddy (Buddies) Day
All
ELR Members who bring a buddy that has not visited ELR before will
be free for the day
Lets Show our Buddies the hospitality of Emerald Lake Resort.
If you are a non-member of ELR but visit us
frequently and bring a buddy (friends, neighbors, co-worker etc.)
you will receive 25% off your normal daily rate and your "buddy"
will be free for the day.
Note: This promotion is valid
Saturday from 10am -12 midnight or till 10am Sunday morning if
staying overnight. Promotion is for daily ground fees only and
does not include tents, RVs or room rentals.
Barely
Bill's Sunset Grill will be open to satisfy your nourishment needs
both Saturday and Sunday.
A DJ Dance
hosted by Buddy & Diane will
follow later that night so bring your dancing feet and lets show
our Buddies how we have a Party.

August 2nd -
ELR's 2nd annual All Holiday's Day including costume contest and
DJ dance.
August 16th -
2nd annual "Oldies Day". Pot Luck Dinner, bring your OLD family
recipe or just make up something. DJ dance to follow, dance to

A Large Fireworks Display over the Lake
starting at 9:00PM
ELNR will have
an all You Can Eat afternoon meal from
12 noon till 3pm plus games to play and contests with prizes to
participate in.
The Food:
Hamburgers, Cheeseburgers, Hotdogs, Potato salad, Baked Beans,
Pickles, Chips and Ice Tea.
The Games: Petanque, Horseshoes,
Darts, Beanbag Toss or whatever else we can come up with.
Other
Daytime activities = swim, suntan, paddle around the lake,
fish (no license required), soak in a spa, play Pool, Ping-Pong,
Darts etc. or just plain relax.

will be doing DJ music in the park during the day and into the
evening for your dancing and listening pleasure.---
And Then,
Watch
the Fireworks Display over the Lake while in the spa, on the deck
or the newly lighted beach.

to do so. Aerial displays only please.
Donations for
Saturday's all you can eat meal and drawings will be $8.00 per
person for club members or $10.00 per person for visitors plus
daily ground fees.

prize drawings during the day.

ANNOUNCING THE
U-COOK-UM STEAK DINNER SATURDAY, JUNE 21ST
In honor of National Nude Recreation Week,
Emerald Lake Resort will once again host the famous U-Cook-Um steak
dinner on Saturday, June 21st, 2008. For a fee of $15.00,
you will get a 16-oz. rib eye steak, huge baked potato and ear of
corn, and all the fixin’s. Load that potato up with butter, sour
cream, shredded cheese, salad sprinkles, and more! The big grills
will be up and running for you to cook your steak to your liking.
