AANR Principles:

"We believe in the essential wholesomeness of all human bodies. We believe in the naturalness of social nudism. We consider that the exposure of the entire human body to light and air is beneficial to physical and mental health. We believe that recreation - from exercise to relaxation and socialization - is enhanced by the nudist experience. We believe that we have the right to practice social nudism in appropriate settings, provided that we do not infringe on the rights of others."

The International Naturist Federation

The INF represents 1/3 million naturists in 30 countries (The American Association for Nude Recreation is an affiliate of this organization). Founded in August 1953 at the Montalivet naturist resort in France, it is dedicated to the world-wide acceptance of naturist ideals and lifestyle-recreational social nudism.

The Naturist Society

TNS Mission:

"The mission of The Naturist Society is to promote a culture of body acceptance through clothing-optional recreation using the tools of education and community outreach.

The Naturist Society celebrates the nude human form as inherently wholesome and natural, TNS promotes attitudes of tolerance and respect toward the body, and rejects the exploitation of the body for commercial or sexual purposes.

The Naturist Society views clothing-optional recreation as essential to body acceptance. Through clothing-optional recreation, participants, be they individuals, couples or families, learn to appreciate the diversity of body types, gain a better understanding and acceptance of their own bodies, and reap the social, psychological and physical benefits of a healthy and natural way of life.

The Naturist Society believes the interests of naturists are advanced through education and community outreach. TNS recognizes it is part of a larger community and welcomes the challenge of spreading the naturist message."

The Naturist Society is a loose-knit umbrella organization of many naturist activists throughout the country. TNS has been active since 1974 in the fight for free beach rights. The organization continues to be at the forefront of many naturist legal battles defending naturists' rights to use public lands. Through its Naturist Action Committee arm, TNS is also active in lobbying Congress and local governments for free (i.e. legal nude beaches). Cypress Cove Located on the east coast, near Disney World in Kissimmee, Fl. "the cove" is IMHO the best nudist resort in the country. Their beautiful grounds come complete with a picturesque lake, motel units, full service restaurant, tennis courts, etc. If you were to visit only one nudist club in your life, this would be the place.
