What is the CPS® and CAP® Rating?

Certification is a mark of excellence that you carry with you everywhere you go.

The Certified Professional Secretary® and the Certified Administrative  Professional® ratings have become the recognized standard of measurement for secretarial proficiency!

Earning the CPS rating is a clear signal that you have made a serious commitment to your career and you have the type of skills and knowledge that are the hallmark of top professionals.  To attain the CPS rating, a candidate must meet educational and experience requirements as well as pass a comprehensive exam covering finance, business law, office systems, administration, and management.

To attain the CAP rating, a candidate must meet the requirements for a CPS, plus take a fourth exam on Organizational Planning including  team skills, strategic planning, advanced administration.
